Temperature Regulated Oven

A thermometer, which can be placed inside the meat or other food that is cooking, can regulate the oven temperature by either turning it off or switching to a lower temperature once the thermometer attains a certain temperature.

 

 

2nd Place – $300

Street Snow Searer

To solve the problem of snow piling up on roadways a large truck with a holding tank and a series of vacuums will suck up the snow, which will be heated in the tank and then dumped into the city sewer system or designated snow runoff area. This idea also won the Fan Favorite award in the JR Division.

3rd Place – $200

This idea is for a set of headphones that is able to stop the music when they are no longer on your head. It would pause the sounds until the headphones are replaced on your head.

This idea is for a microwave inside your lunch box; it would include an area to put in batteries and a cord to hook up to a wall. All you have to do is press a button, like: start, stop, 1:00 min, and so on.

Oftentimes in southeast Alaska our rainy weather takes summer visitors by surprise. They will be prepared anything with this tote bag that doubles as a rain poncho. Lightweight, inexpensive, and useful rain or shine, this bag will be a helpful product or a novelty souvenir.

Xtratuf Flip-Flop

In Southeast Alaska, the most iconic piece of clothing is the Xtratuf boot. These flip-flops have the same sole as the boot so they can be use outside, on the same kind of ground. Two models would be available: the men’s flip-flop with a plain strap and a more feminine model with two straps.
